Well I don't know if I like the wording of love is, like (cleaning a toilet) I think of more like giving of ones self in order to make your partner happy, as I have tried to do in my relationship. But I have also learned something over the past month, you can love someone and be so angry at them (because you keep every little thing you have been upset with them about-bottled up) that you do something stupid and tell them you don't want to talk to them ever again. Only to hurt them and yourself. So I have learned you can love some one with every fiber of your body, but if you don't talk to them about the things they do that make you sad, then you don't love and trust them enough to think they wouldn't understand. I found out the hard way and may of lost the love of my life because I acted like a child and blew-up at him, Yes we are talking again, but I'm not sure if he wants me back now. The late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black paid homage to Madison in 1971 when he concluded an opinion by writing, ``And paramount among the duties of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from deceiving the people and sending them off to distant lands to die of foreign fevers and foreign shot and shell....Or, perhaps, to die of trigger-happy cops at home. Iraqi -Remembering All Those Arguments Made-1,500 Deaths Ago

Washington:" Something about anniversaries prods us to pause and reflect on what's transpired in the intervening time. March 20 is the second anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, and it's a good time to consider what's happened since then. Do you recall our civilian leadership's rationale for a pre-emptive war against Saddam Hussein? President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney and, yes, former Secretary of State Colin Powell told the world that the United States had no choice but to invade Iraq. They said Saddam was hiding chemical and biological weapons,and that his scientists would be able to produce a nuclear weapon in a few years. Do you remember those who predicted that the operation would be financed in large part by sales of Iraqi oil? It would be cheap, easy and, oh yes, so swift that civilian leaders in the Pentagon ordered the military to plan to begin withdrawing from Iraq no later than the summer of 2003. There was no need for much post-war planning because there wasn't going to be any post-war. America would come, conquer and get out. At that moment, in late February 2003, on the eve of the invasion, the U.S. invasion force of 278,000 American troops began to dwindle as someone tried to prove the job could be done with fewer than Shinseki's 200,000 troops. Call that the Shinseki Threshold. One division's tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles bobbed around at sea for weeks and arrived too late for the attack. A second division of tanks and Bradley armored vehicles slated for the follow-up to the invasion was canceled; a third division's deployment to Iraq was postponed for several months. Military Police units needed to secure a hundreds of miles of dangerous supply lines - and to establish law and order - disappeared from the war plan.But as the invasion forces regrouped, the world witnessed an orgy of looting and burning of government ministry buildings, and even the power plants upon which a city of 11 million people depended. There was no one to prevent it. Birthing democracy, Rumsfeld allowed, can be "messy.'' After nearly 18 months, the Pentagon admitted that a team of nearly 1,000 intelligence officials and scientists had combed Iraq for evidence of chemical and biological weapons or any sign of an active nuclear weapons program. This war that was supposed to be a cakewalk has taken the lives of 1,510 American troops and sent thousands more home, maimed by improvised explosive devices that tear off arms and legs. American taxpayers have paid more than $200 billion in two years for a war we were told wouldn't cost much, if anything, and the cost in fiscal 2006 will be at least $70 billion more. Now the administration tells us that we had to attack not because Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and ties to al-Qaeda, but because he wasn't a democrat. Sadly, however, the costs of trying to make Iraq a democracy probably would have been lower, and the chances of succeeding better, if we hadn't gone to war with flimsy evidence and wishful thinking.

I too, ask my government why? How high does the body count have to be before someone says enough is enough? I personally feel myself that this war, and for that fact every war we as American's have fought in for the last 50 years was not some place we really needed to be. Like this one now..NOT Our War!!

Idaho Pocatello - High Paying Jobs

Journal:"I am curious ...Where does Greg Rogers, of Idaho Commerce & Labor, get his statistical facts? He says the annual average wage of an Idahoan with a bachelor's degree is more than $50,000. Where are these high-paying jobs? In the years that I have graduated with a bachelor's degree, I have found jobs that barely keep my income above poverty level. These are mostly part-time jobs without benefits. It is rare to find a professional job with benefits at $24,000 a year (or even $18,000 a year, for that matter). Benefits are scarce, even for the professional who holds a degree (and often a large amount of debt). Unfortunately, it is not just a matter of picking the right degree. A college graduate many times makes half as much as a high school graduate who works in a specific field (think railroad, industrial plants). High school graduates in these areas can make up to $50,000 - an income a lot of college grads may never have access to. So, Greg Rogers, please light a torch to guide us "high-paid graduates" toward the big money to be made after college. It would be nice to at least stay a step ahead of poverty. You could ask any school teacher or social worker about that.....Joni Kuhlman, Downey Idaho" I also live in Pocatello and I agree with her I have friends, who have also gone to collage and decide to stay here and work when they get their degree's. They also say the same thing as what you have read above. If you want a job, to eat & sleep in-doors after going to collage(4+years) around here you'll make around $8.00-11.00 a hour (these usually are only part-time/ no benefits jobs, but you need a degree to just get them)-before tax's. And.. You'll have to be right on top of the job hunting skills to even find that!! Or if you're really lucky as a good friend of mine was last fall. Mind you he worked crappy jobs for 3-years, till he landed a job working for the Health & welfare which put him in the bracket of $21,000.00 a year before tax's. Lucky him!!... Then, the part that really sucks for these BA-collage people is now they have to also pay back those students loans they got to go to collage to better themselves at the price of around $400-$500.00 a-month on top of living expenses, for the next god knows 10-years!! Which would depress anyone. When you see high-school drop-outs making as much money if not more, after you pay your collage loans back each month... Working in Tel-phone-marketing jobs. Makes us wonder why go to collage if your going to stay in Pocatello, or if your smart. You'll move over the state border where the pay is 1/4- double higher. To tell you the truth I have thought about moving out of state many of times but never any extra money to make such a big move, so till I can.

I also will only dream things will change here in Pocatello Idaho, for my children.."

Bush Verses Hitler

Sen.Robert Byrd:" In the magical upside-down world of right-wing blogs, it is now an accepted article of faith that Sen. Robert Byrd compared George W. Bush to Hitler last week. Republicans are demanding an apology, many have taken to high dudgeon, and another pointless flapette is on. Actually Byrd, a noted scholar of the Senate and its procedures, made an interesting speech opposing the "nuclear option" of cutting off Senate debate on judicial nominees. Rumor has it there is a plot afoot in the Senate to curtail the right of extended debate in this hallowed chamber, not in accordance with its rules, mind you, but by fiat from the chair, said the elderly Byrd. He is also famed for his magniloquent speaking style, a splendid old-fashioned oratory known to older Americans who had to study rhetoric. Byrd tangentially mentioned Hitler, quoting historian Alan Bullock to make the following point:Hitler's originality lay in his realization that effective revolutions, in modern conditions, are carried out with, and not against, the power of the state: The correct order of events was first to secure access to that power and then begin his revolution. Hitler never abandoned the cloak of legality; he recognized the enormous psychological value of having the law on his side. Instead, he turned the law inside out and made illegality legal. A point worth pausing over. Byrd went on to suggest the "nuclear option" ploy is similar in that it involves the same premise: If you can't win under the rules, you change the rules. Certainly a case of rhetorical overreach, but then, that is a hazard of public speaking.The blogger Wonkette posted an amusing collection of Republican politicians comparing this, that and the other to Nazi Germany - a ruling on abortion, stem cell research, even the Kyoto protocol. In 2002, former Sen. Phil Gramm of Texas managed to find a tax bill like something right out of Nazi Germany. I don't understand ... why all of a sudden we are passing laws that sound as if they are right out of Nazi Germany. Rhetorical overreach plagues many: George W. Bush once managed to invoke the tragic memory of 9-11 in aid of a capital gains tax cut. Byrd's really quite thoughtful speech should appeal to conservatives with its emphasis on historical precedent, constitutional responsibilities, and the system of checks and balances. Byrd also made a spirited attack on Franklin D. Roosevelt for his misbegotten plan to "pack" the Supreme Court. All of this was about Bush's decision to renominate 20 of his choices for the federal bench who never got a vote in his first term because of threatened filibusters. For some reason, Republicans have chosen to treat these rebuffs as though they were World War III, accusing Democrats of the dread obstructionism. Their own record during the Clinton years of knocking off dozens of President Clinton's judicial nominees gives not the slightest pause. The 20 retreads include some real dogs. One of these prizes is William G. Myers III, nominated for a lifetime seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His qualifications consist of having spent most of his adult life as a lobbyist for Western mining, timber and oil companies. Bush named him top lawyer in the Interior Department in 2001, apparently on the grounds that Myers once compared the federal government's management of federal lands to the tyranny of King George III. Another gem is Janice Rogers Brown of California, nominated for the D.C. Court of Appeals, who described the New Deal as the triumph of our socialist revolution and praised an infamous line of Supreme Court cases from 1905 to 1937 striking down worker health and safety laws as infringing on the rights of business. (Of course your employer has a right to kill you - what are you, out of the mainstream?) Still another prize in this package is Claude A. Allen, who believes abortion rights are causing genocide of black people. A supporter of abstinence education, Allen backed the administration's decision to remove information about condoms from the Web site of the Centers for Disease Control. My personal fave is Priscilla Owen of the Texas Supreme Court, who is so far out that Alberto Gonzales once denounced one of her decisions as an unconscionable act of judicial activism. Then there's William Haynes, principal author and defender of the administration's dubious handling of several torture issues. All in all, a lovely bunch of coconuts, with a collective record showing opposition to human rights, civil rights, abortion rights pretty much everything but property rights. I agree....Sorry in my eye's....If the shoe fits!!"

Victor Bruha and Daniel Hidalgo say they plan to market their hand-made creations to tourists, KIFI-TV, Idaho Falls reported. "It's interesting because it's a local handmade product and ... A lot of tourists are looking for something that has a local flavor and by doing this we are upping the entire process -- making the paper, making the prints, selling the art work, it's all done right here," said Hidalgo. The artists say the process of making paper out of bison chips has been around for years. A single bison chip can yield 20 to 25 sheets of rustic paper that can be used for printing art. The artists said they plan to make Christmas ornaments from bison dung once the holiday season rolls around. I Live about 45min. Drive: From Idaho falls, guess I'll just have to check this out... The most recent statement by U.S. agencies about Iran and its weapons was an unclassified report sent to Congress in November by CIA Director Porter Goss, who said Iran continued "to vigorously pursue indigenous programs to produce nuclear, chemical and biological weapons." You know what upsets me about this more then anything is that, we have our people over their. We hear and are told that: American soldiers are safe, and our government is on top of everything to keep them safe, so they say. But then something like this comes out and it's scary, because you know inside of you their is truth in it.

Thought this picture expressed how I was feeling to day, I was in a car accedent last night with some young girl from out of state and she just kept screaming at me how much she hated me. Well Police now say I have to take her to court and sue her to get my car fixed. so pretty upset over all of this as I have never been in a car crash before, sort of feel like God is flicking me because I did something wrong. Dead end Job

Weird News:"Around the year 1500"s - Old England is and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a "bone-house" and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they thought they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the "graveyard shift") to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be "saved by the bell" or was considered a "dead ringer." And that's the truth. . . (who ever said that History was boring)?" Now how would you to have to do this job? Talk about watching the dead, I've worked in some pretty dead in jobs. But never one this bad."

Surgery Follow-up

Hello everyone... Well it's been a week since my surgery went to see the Doctor, for my follow-up. He said I would live but, won't feel like it for another 30-days because of all the repairs he had to make in my ear. I have to go back in 3-weeks to have a hearing test done and also take out some more stitches, till then I now have to put these steroid drops in every two hours or 6 times a-day, to help the healing part also the drops help clean out the packing they put in stuff, they have in my ear to protect it till its all healed also said I would not hear much of anything till all the packing is out, and the tissue has healed which is normal according to him. What they did to my ear. Doctor said: Replaced the ear bone with a dead person's bone...Yuck! Did some repairs on a nerve called ( the 5th. Carnal nerve). And scraped a lot of scar tissue damage away from everything and then took a skin Graff of my muscle tissue and flatten it and made a ear drum out of it, to sew in place of the damage one. A lot of work done to a little ear huh. Well I hope it was all worth it in the end, guess I will just have to wait and see, wait that's hear..LOL Any way, wanted to thank all of you who sent me e-mail greeting of (get well cards) meant a lot to me, never knew I had so many friends...Thanks Debi

P.S....Word of warning I got a ear ache in the middle of the summer, and look what happen to me so if you get one don't mess around get to a Ear,Nose,throat- Doctor right away. I didn't I went to a family clinic and look what happen to.

MSNBC: "With premonition he wouldn't survive in Iraq, a GI left a video for his wife. In- Fort Benning Ga. - Before deploying earlier this year, Sergeant First Class David Salie was certain of two things: Serving in Iraq was the right thing to do and he wouldn't survive his tour. He shared that premonition with his wife weeks before he left. "He rolled over and looked at me and he said, 'D, I'm not coming back,'" recalls Deanna Salie. Sadly, David Salie's prediction came true. He was killed in a roadside bombing on Valentine's Day, just four days into his Iraq tour. His children and wife are now mourning a terrible loss. "I am a little mad at him for leaving me, because I don't know how to live without David," says Deanna. But Sgt. Salie knew one more thing, that he should tell his family how much he loved them, in a way they could never forget. "If you're seeing this, then I'm not coming home," begins a videotape Sgt. Salie made the night before he left. He secretly recorded messages for them with instructions to view the video only if he didn't return. "You're without a daddy, in person but I'm always with you. You're without a husband in person, but I'm always with you," says David on the tape. It's an eternal message of love from a husband and father to his family. There are other recordings for future milestones, like graduations and weddings I won't be there to share. But there was a bigger message for the present. "The price was worth it, in my heart," says David on the video. "What I have done was the right thing to do." Because everyone who loved David Salie knew that he believed in America and was willing to give his life fighting for Iraqi's to share American freedom. Deanna believes that too. Operation For Me

Just thought I would let you all know I may not be posting on my Blog for a few days, as I will be going in for surgery on ear, - Wed. Feb., 23rd. Some of you that are long time readers you may remember last year in July, when I {blew my ear drum } out really bad and lost 60% of my hearing and it hurt really bad. Well I have spent the last 7-8 months trying to get it to heal, and I did get most of my hearing back but the ear never healed and I keep getting infections, and now I have a twitch in my eye from a nerve they say that runs thru the ear drum to the eye. And are going to try and repair that too! Wish me luck and, as soon as I feel better and am up and moving I will write you all and tell you how it went...Pray for me, because I am scared my last surgery didn't go to good a year ago, so I am on edge about everything till this is over....Bye For now - Coffee Talk"

Sudan;"The sentence of 100 lashes, passed on a 16-year-old school girl in the Sudan for the "crime" of adultery, to be commuted immediately. Amnesty International is also asking people all over the world to write to the Sudanese authorities asking them to stop the punishment going ahead. Intisar Bakri Abdulgader gave birth to a male child after becoming pregnant outside marriage. She was convicted of adultery and sentenced by a local court she was seven months pregnant. The alleged father of the child has reportedly not been charged but will have a blood test to establish paternity. Intisar is now caring for her four-month-old son, Dori. She is said to be very frightened at the prospect of the punishment and is reportedly eating and sleeping very little. Under article 146 of Sudan’s Penal Code, adultery is punishable by execution by stoning if the offender is married, or by one hundred lashes if the offender is not married. Adultery is defined as sexual intercourse with a man without being lawfully bound to him. Scores of people were sentenced to amputation or flogging in Sudan last year. Flogging is frequently carried out immediately after sentencing leaving no chance for appeal, even when there are concerns about whether a fair trial has been held."

World's Tallest Woman

Japanese kids think death's temporary

gophercentral:As a testament to the power of video games and movies, some Japanese children do not believe death is permanent, the Kyodo news agency said Tuesday. The Nagasaki prefectural Board of Education ordered a survey of children's attitudes on death and dying in November and December after an 11-year-old girl was convicted of murdering a fellow student. Of 3,600 fourth, six and eighth graders in public schools, 15.4 percent said they believe dead people can be resurrected based on what they had seen on television, movies and video games. In the case of the 11-year-old convicted of murder, a family court statement said the girl had only a "vague notion" of death. On releasing the survey results, a school board official called for parents to ensure their children learn the real, and not virtual, meaning of life.I too have to agree with them on this issues as I said in the next acrticle below this one. Video games Change us?

"He's portrayed like a godlike, masculine figure every boy wants to grow up as," said, a male-student who took the course." What are your thoughts on this video game class? I know for a fact that when my son had his PS-2 up and running, he would spend hours glued to it... And at times would become very angry and throw fits it he didn't win or was killed in a game or if it became to much stress for him. As he would yell and blame others because (if we even took a breath of air it made him lose, he said! ) So ...Yes I do feel that Video games change the levels in the brain after long periods of playing them. He would even go thru with-draw like signs if he couldn't play it for a time when I took it away. But I also feel that computer games are just as bad they are just TV-gameboys...( By the way I broke his machine- was not on purpose but now glad I did, as I find he has calm down abit more but it took about a-month to see the change)"

Please forgive me if these seems like a whinny baby complaint, but I feel really bummed when I spend so much time trying to put my blog together and people just read, but don't bother to leave a comment, this is why I stopped writing for awhile it seemed nobody cared so why post so I stopped but I missed it and I'm trying again. Or we get the ones that are looking for something but never take the time to stop and see what your Blog has to say. Maybe I just expect the same out of ours that I give to them, if I end up in someone's blog page I always try to leave a comment about one of their posts, if nothing else I feel to let them know someone does care if they post and what they post. A blue tag hanging from the toe bore the name of another man and was dated Jan. 13. Detectives learned a hospital worker had turned over the plastic bag to an employee at a funeral home, which immediately denied any involvement in the mix-up. The investigation is continuing, although it appears to be non-criminal, said Detective Best. The hospital launched its own investigation as well, their spokeswoman said. God knows how that can be confused with a bag of clothing," Runyan said. Okay you tell me...Did anyone bother to look in the bag before they handed it over to the family? This is creepy guess everyone better check out our bag, just like we do at the fast-food drive-thru before we leave to make sure we don't have the wrong bag...LOL"

Bipolar - Does Your Child Have it

" I know this is a very long article to read...Heck I cut it down it was 5-pages long. But I wanted to post this to let people out their know, and also because I also have two-children that 10-years ago was told had 3rd.genertion Bi-polar on their dad's side, I also did not know their father had this because he was adopted, his parents thought he was just a un-rule kids and sent him to live else where till he was grown. Guess what I am saying is. It's really hard to live with kids that have these problems and others don't understand! Explicitly those people that never had to raise a child like these kids. Because as their parent you try to do everything you can to give them a good life and make sure their happy, but at the same time it seems like someone is always un-happy no matter what you try to do. And people and the legal system think we are bad parents because our kids are out of control. People don't begin to know the hell we go thru...From a mothers view, be wait nine months to hold our child and when their born they are the best gift anyone could give us, then the hell begins, maybe not as soon for soon like some but it comes. Mine was when my son entered kinder-garden. I know the stares the rude remarks from outsiders, and all the people that feel if you took one million parenting classes you would be a better parent. Well let me tell you and their is proof out their. But the courts and schools don't want to listen, And doctors they don't seem to know much more then the rest of us...God help the world! But- they just want to blame someone, so it's us the parent. I feel that we as parents are doing every thing we can to help and love our child but the legal system and the schools, don't do enough, these people are not trained nor are payed enough to deal with these type of children so, why should they.. they feel right! Wrong these people want to take our rights as parents away and say we don't know what going on...Well I sure wish they would show us how to fix it...Instead of always telling us how. Sure would help some days....Well I feel better now...LOL Got that out of my system- Sort of. I just get so angry because I am trying so hard to be a good parent and some days I just want to walk away, and give up. As I"m a single mom, their dads visits, but he don't want to deal with it...Great huh!"

A few months later, when his even-tempered sister grew moody and volatile, she took her to the same psychiatrist. They sat down with DeWeese's well-thumbed book about bipolar children and went through its symptom checklist. Based largely on those results and the family's history she learned that the children's father had been diagnosed as bipolar in high school psychiatrist told her 5 1/2-year-old daughter was bipolar,too. Now 6 and 8, this mother's son and daughter exemplify a trend that is roiling mental heath: the burgeoning number of children diagnosed with bipolar illness, also known as manic depression, which affects about 2.3 million Americans. As a result, some preschoolers barely out of diapers are being treated for bipolar disorder with powerful drugs, few of which have been tested in children. But some experts say the surge in diagnoses is a dangerous fad one critic called it "psychiatrist flavor of the month" a decision too often based on skimpy evidence, cursory evaluations and incorrect assumptions about genetic risk. These children are troubled,but most don't meet psychiatrist official diagnostic criteria for the lifelong psychotic disorder. Labeling severe tantrums in toddlers as a major mental illness lacks validity and undermines credibility in our profession. They are also suggestive of a host of other problems: depression, anxiety, abuse, ADHD or a behavioral problem such as conduct, explosive or oppositional defiant disorder. Desperate parents search Web sites. It has been found, famous people were bipolar, Abraham Lincoln, Ludwig van Beethoven and Teddy Roosevelt. With systems of rapid cycling mood swings that occur as often as every few minutes throughout the day. Some desperate parents, who have struggled for years with their children's problems and an acute shortage of mental health feel so helpless.Until recently, many doctors were reluctant to prescribe the powerful mood-stabilizing drugs adults take for bipolar disorder to young children, whose central nervous systems are still developing. Most children take at least three drugs simultaneously or more to control their moods and alleviate depression. Some try dozens of combinations and doses. One 8-year old, who has tried more than half a dozen drugs, some of which made her act like "a raging maniac," currently takes Abilify, an antipsychotic primarily used to treat schizophrenia in adults. The dose had to be cut after she started drooling and one side of her face drooped. Parents are often asked how they can give these drugs to their children. "We don't have any choice," comparing them to lifesaving chemotherapy. "Most of us are grateful these medications exist. In earlier days our children would have been institutionalized. These drugs can cause the very symptoms they have been given to treat: hyperactivity, insomnia and even psychosis. There's a lot of throwing medications at people without thinking about what the problem is. Once somebody has a label, it is highly unlikely that label will be questioned. And by the time your child has been on 20 different drugs, you can no longer figure out what's wrong. One 13-year-old had taken more than a dozen drugs since her diagnosis several years ago. If one doesn't work, the doctors' answer is to just keep adding more and more medications or increasing the doses, the rise in pediatric diagnosis of bipolar illness. Don't Blame the Parents, many parents say that a bipolar diagnosis meant they were no longer blamed for their children's behavior. Four years later, doctors discovered that her severe depression and mood swings were the result of an undiagnosed pituitary tumor. She's really angry at the doctors and at me because I accepted the diagnosis too fast, the woman said. Her daughter, she said, "barely got through high school" and had side effects from the lithium, which made her hair fall out. Now 19, she said, her daughter is caught in a Catch-22: Because the family was open about her diagnosis, she feels the need to tell everyone she's not bipolar. And the reaction she's encountered is not what she thought. It's, Oh sure- (people say)- the bipolar doesn't think she's bipolar-right...Tell her to up her meads."

What Is Love?

Happy Valentines Day: "Imagine how many times the words "I love you" will be uttered. The word love is curious because it connotes such an intangible feeling that it defies defining. What do you mean when you say you love someone? I've heard of people saying they knew they loved someone the first week, they believe in "love at first sight," some hold back and don't say it for fear of getting hurt, and yet others use this phrase with ill intentions. This tiny, four letter word can wreak havoc or bliss on a relationship. But how do you know what someone else means when they bestow the word on you? And does it mean the same to you? What Is Love? Because love is an intangible emotion, it's difficult to know if you and your beloved mean the same thing when you tell each other you love them. We might know what WE mean when we use this phrase, but how do you ever know how deeply the emotions run for the other person? It's fascinating to me that "love" can be defined in a neat little box, established within certain parameters. When I surfed dictionary.com, there were several definitions listed for love: "A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that aris- ing from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness." A second definition was listed as "A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance." These definitions sound pretty close, but what exactly are YOU thinking when you say it to someone? Do you say it as a ready response to THEM saying it? Do you get the giggly feeling inside each time you say it to your honey? Have you ever said it and not meant it?. While none of us can begin to define love for ALL of us, we can each have our own ideas of what this emotion means. And then you need to do your best to articulate it to your partner. Allow me to propose MY definition of love (in no particular order): Love is supportive and encouraging. Love is kind, compassion- ate, and thoughtful. Love is sweet and nurturing. Love is your whole body coming alive when you see that person. Love is your heart singing an internal song out of pure bliss. Your heart, with all its attributes and flaws, has found its best friend. Love is your vulnerable, lovable self (however gently) willing to hand over your heart to someone else. Love is thinking of the other first, creating a safe and secure environment, and the calm and excitement in your day. And love is being proud of one another. Love is bringing out the best in each other and inspiring one another to do better. Love is about being the best you can be because you want to, for you AND your partner. Love is sharing similar (but not necessarily identical) outlooks on life, goals, and life issues. And most importantly, love is enduring. There might be times when one of you has to love more, but with a solid foundation of friendship, love won't fade. It doesn't go away. It just is. And, yes, love can be all the romantic things you read about in Hallmark cards. Feel free to disagree. Love is your heart swelling at the sight of his beautiful smile, the crinkling around his eyes, the sound of his voice, the way he is with his family, the way he watches over people and is protective, the thought of him first thing in the morning, throughout the day, and before you drift off to sleep. Love is happiness that he exists. Love is yummy in bed and the way his lovely lips feel on all your 2000 parts :) What love IS NOT. Many of you are experiencing rough patches in relationships and are confused about love. Again, but there are certain things that love ISN'T. Love is not selfish. Love does not make you choose between options that make you uncomfortable. Love does not ask you to compromise your beliefs and sense of who you are. Love does not force you to sacrifice your dreams. Love is not punishing and ugly. Love is not controlling, and love is not abusive."

A day after the Vermont Human Rights Commission asked the company to pull the "Crazy for You" bear from its shelves, Elisabeth Robert said she has first-hand knowledge of how horrific mental illness can be. "You know, I feel as if I am being talked at, as if I don't know what pain can be caused," Robert told the Rutland, Vt., Herald. "I have, in my family, experienced real, profound pain over mental illness." The commission's campaign that started a month ago has drawn national attention and even prompted Gov. James Douglas to write a letter saying the bear is in poor taste and should not be sold. Robert said sales of the $70 bear picked significantly since word of the controversy spread. Response has split almost evenly between commission supporters and those who think the campaign smacks of political correctness.

Construction worker Salvatore D'Andrea put the jacket up for sale for $2 Jan. 7, along with the jackets spooky background. He said he found the jacket in the closet of a home he moved into last summer. A day later, he said he heard crying from the closet. Then, he claimed his homes thermostat began to move without anyone touching it. The clothes in his closet rearranged themselves, with all the red articles moved to the front. D'Andrea said one night he saw a ghost who said its name was Phil. Said he didn't like kids or pets, was a friend of the family who lived there previously, and had been wearing the jacket when he died. Bidding on the jacket quickly moved beyond $2, and ended up being purchased by a Pennsylvania woman for $31.50, which D'Andrea said he'll use to buy another, ghost-free jacket.

State Dept. Blocks Adoption of Tsunami Victims

I understand people wanting to help these children because they may be alone now...But, has anyone took in the fact that if you were to take in a children lets say 5-years or old from this crisises. The amount of therapy and trauma this child and your family will have to deal with, let alone the mounting medical bills to go with it. I think the groverment is right in saying people need to wait and see if someone claims these children first. Beside think, how you would feel in you finally got a child after years of trying to get one and then to find out, after you spent all the money to adopt one of the poor souls and their parent's were found, and you had to return them. Think of the heart-break for everyone. So yes I think it will take at least 6-months or more, before any child from the Tsunami crisis should be allowed to be adopted.

It can be extremely difficult to determine whether children whose parents are missing are truly orphans. In the current situation, many children have become separated from one or both of their parents. Even when children are indeed orphaned, they are often taken in by other relatives. Staying with relatives in extended family units is generally a better solution than uprooting the child completely. The State Department believes that it will take many months before the situation in those countries affected by the tsunami stabilizes to the point where the countries will be able to identify the children who are legitimate orphans. It is only if and when these countries decide to make these orphans available for international adoption that American citizens will be able to begin adoption proceedings for these children."

My - New Year's Resolutions

Easier said than done, I know, but keep in mind that if you are willing to give everything you have, then you deserve someone who will reciprocate. In 2005, give your heart without strings attached, without maintaining conditions, and without fear of the relationship ending up as not what you needed or wanted. It's all about the process, and you can't experience it if you get in your own way.
2. INCREASE THE ANTICIPATION FACTOR - A surefire way to kick-start a routine sex life is to increase the anticipation factor. I often talk about putting a note or picture here or there for your beloved so they are surprised and looking forward to seeing (and touching) you all day. It could be even simpler than that. Cuddle on the couch and watch television together and gently stroke each other's arms or legs. Make this a prolonged event so that the anticipation continues to build. Lightly touch each other throughout the program or two, but don't actually kiss. By the time you get to the bedroom later that evening, you will both be extremely hot and bothered. Britain may grant tax breaks for 2nd wives.British tax officials are considering breaks for Muslims who are allowed as many as four wives under religious rules to make taxes more "family friendly." Existing laws allow deductions for only one wife for inheritance tax purposes but Muslim activists are asking Inland Revenue to relax therules, the Times of London reports. "Wives and immediate children should be exempt from inheritance tax," Ahmad Thomson, of the Association of Muslim Lawyers, told the Times. "If the government is family friendly, they should change a tax which is unfairly hitting minority religious values." British law currently bans marrying more than one spouse at a time and such action could result in bigamy charges. Muslim women with second-, third- and fourth-wife status are considered mistresses under the law and have no legal or tax rights."

For others, it arrives after a long battle. Either way, the news that death is just a few months away poses a daunting challenge for both doctor and patient. Drugs can ease pain and reduce anxiety, but what about the more profound issues that come with impending death? The wish to resolve lingering conflicts with family members. The longing to know, before it's too late, what it means to love, or what it meant to live. There is no medicine to address such dis-ease. Or is there? This month, the Food and Drug Administration gave the green light to a Harvard proposal to test the benefits of the illegal street drug known as "ecstasy" in patients diagnosed with severe anxiety related to advanced cancer. Has been referred to by psychiatrists as a drug especially good at putting people in touch with their emotions. Some believe it could help patients come to terms with the biggest emotional challenge of all: the end of life. The FDA's approval puts the study on track to become the first test of a psychedelic substance since 1963 at Harvard, where drug guru Timothy Leary lost his teaching privileges after using students in experiments with LSD and other hallucinogens. It also marks a milestone for a small but increasingly effective movement favoring a more open-minded attitude toward the therapeutic potential of psychedelic drugs, virtually all of which have been criminalized and disparaged for decades as medically useless. Already, being tested for its ability to reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.
